For the last 3 decades WBMF addresses the unique challenges veterans face regarding brain, spine, and mental health. The organization has been on the forefront of providing of providing advanced diagnostics and therapeutics for veterans and wounded soldiers through funding pioneering research and integrating cutting-edge technology from space and defense into clinical practice.

The WBMF is constantly developing groundbreaking solutions for neurological disorders; to name a few: Brain Cancer, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Traumatic brain injury (TBI), Chronic pain, other service-neurological related conditions.

Since its conception, WBMF has been working with the offices of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, DARPA, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Department of Defense (US Army, US Navy, US Marines, US Airforce, US Health Service, US National Guard), and Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) on critical topics related the healthcare and wellbeing of wounded soldiers and veterans.
