SBMT Kids Corner

USA | Initiative By SBMT

The purpose of the SBMT Kids Corner is to provide K-12 students with a fun and engaging way to learn about neuroscience.

The Kids Corner offers a variety of resources, including articles, games, activities, and videos that help students understand how the brain works and how to keep it healthy.

Here are some of the specific benefits of the SBMT Kids Corner:

  • Teaches students about the brain: The Kids Corner provides students with a comprehensive overview of the brain, including its structure, function, and development. Students learn about the different parts of the brain and how they work together to control our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
  • Promotes brain health: The Kids Corner teaches students about the importance of brain health and how to keep their brains healthy. Students learn about the impact of nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress on the brain.
  • Reduces stigma around mental health: The Kids Corner contributes to reduce stigma around mental health by teaching students about common neurological disorders and how they affect the brain. Schoolchildren of all ages learn that mental health is as essential as physical health and that there is no shame in seeking help.
  • Inspires future scientists: The Kids Corner exposes students to the exciting world of neuroscience research. Students learn about the latest advances in neuroscience and how scientists are working to better understand the brain and treat neurological disorders.
